What Is Reverse Brick Veneer?
Most homes in Perth use a conventional brick veneer system: bricks on the outside, insulation and lightweight interior walls inside.
Reverse brick veneer flips this around:
- The heavy brick wall is placed on the inside of the home.
- A timber wall structure sits on the outside, with sheets of fibre cement or cladding on the outer side.
- Insulation sits within the timber wall structure, creating a barrier from external heat or cold
This creates a powerful thermal mass on the inside of your home—absorbing heat during the day and slowly releasing it at night. The result? A stable, comfortable temperature with far less reliance on heating or cooling.

Throughout the renovation process, Norde Homes have kept our family as their prime consideration.
