When history and modernity meet, the results can be stunning. We embarked on a high-end renovation project that showcases the delicate balance between preserving the charm of the past while introducing sleek, contemporary elements. The vision was clear: to create a modern extension that seamlessly integrates with the original home, maintaining its timeless 1900s aesthetic.
From the moment we began, the level of detail was nothing short of extraordinary. Every decision was made with precision, ensuring that the extension and the existing structure would coexist in harmony. One of the standout features of this project is the sleek, tall sliding doors. With frames ingeniously concealed within the walls and ceiling, they offer unobstructed views and a minimalist look, allowing natural light to pour into the new spaces while adding a modern touch to the home.
The new extension is a masterpiece in itself, featuring exposed concrete flooring with the added comfort of underfloor heating. This not only provides a sense of warmth but also complements the industrial-modern style of the space. As you look up, a curved ceiling draws the eye to the highlight windows, flooding the area with light and creating an airy, open atmosphere.
Luxury was woven into every aspect of the renovation. The cabinetry boasts high-end finishes, and the benchtops are crafted from stunning porcelain stone, offering both durability and elegance. Externally, the use of real Blackbutt cladding adds a natural, organic texture, paying homage to the home’s Australian roots while enhancing its modern appeal.
The journey through the home is an experience in itself. Exposed concrete steps lead up to a sleek new bathroom and laundry, where functionality meets high-end design.
