In the lovely suburb of Floreat, nestled among leafy streets, stands a testament to bold vision and meticulous craftsmanship. Simon stepped into our office with this contemporary design done by Element Design, his vision sparked our excitement from the outset. Together, we embarked on a journey to build his home that blends daring architectural elements with practical luxury.
One of the standout features of this residence is its curved wall that gracefully ascends to the upper floor, a striking design choice that adds both fluidity and character to the facade. Complementing this architectural flair is a generous overhang that shelters the alfresco area, seamlessly merging indoor and outdoor spaces for year-round enjoyment.
Step inside, and you’re greeted by a spacious interior designed for modern living. This four-bedroom, three-bathroom home effortlessly combines functionality with elegance. An open staircase, adorned with sleek glass balustrading, serves as a centrepiece, inviting exploration of the home’s multi-level layout.
Throughout the residence, thoughtful details abound. Feature screen walls subtly divide spaces while maintaining an airy feel, enhancing both privacy and aesthetics. Australian-brand tapware and fixtures add a touch of local craftsmanship and reliability, reflecting Simon’s commitment to quality.
Externally, the facade is adorned with concrete-look render and meticulously crafted window surrounds, showcasing attention to detail at every turn. Commercial-grade windows and doors not only enhance security but also optimize natural light and energy efficiency, embodying the home’s sustainable ethos.

Marco and the team at MK Building Solutions did an outstanding job with our new build in Floreat that was completed through Covid and handed over in 19 months (Started May 2021 and moved in January 2023). I can’t thank Marco and all involved with the project as not only Covid but the custom and high end nature of the project while working to a strict budget meant that this should have been a much more stressful experience. Some of the features of the home:
– 35c ceiling downstairs with P50 cornices
– custom island with curve feature
– full height tiling throughout with Italian tiling and Mosaics
– large format 1200×600 floor tiling
– commercial grade window framing throughout with double glazing
– built in bbq with alfresco that is at the same level as the internal living space
– frameless glass throughout
– built in cabinetry throughout home
– custom fireplace

I’m grateful because unlike some builders Marco delivered and not only did he deliver but when called upon to fix minor things (for e.g. NBN line throughput to study) he always came back even after a year of living in the home. I think that speaks volumes about him as a person. Furthermore, Marco provided options for me to do work that I wanted to take out of the work scope or even nominate materials so we really built a custom home to our liking.
After living for over a year we are delighted with the result!
